After spending the weekend enjoying, as Jill explains and we agree, "the best Cape Town hospitality," we got back to Cape Town from Mossel Bay to get Richard's bike from the BMW dealer and to have a final dinner with Jill and Garry's family. We had Curry and Snoek ... cooked by Jill's father in the Brai (Grill) ... amazing!
We are so lucky to have been introduced to Africa by being able to spend real time with people from here, their families, their friends ... experiencing and learning about their lives, comparing things, talking about politics, motorcycles, history ... and some deep stuff : ) Relaxing and just plain enjoying life. This deeper understanding makes me feel more connected to the whole thing.
We spent the afternoon packing and getting our bikes ready. We are planning to leave early. It will be a nice ride along the Garden Route (Indian Ocean coast).
The forecast is "Epic Rainfall Set to Batter the Cape on Sunday Night and Monday" ... Oops : )
