We made it to Victoria Falls at last ... Mosi-Oa-Tunya is the original name in Lozi meaning "The Smoke that Thunders."
We spend the whole morning at the Falls. Few places in the world have made my jaw drop at first sight ... and this is definitely one. Wow!
Unlike most falls around the world where a tectonic plate goes up or down creating a step, here, the earth just opened up and created a massive crack splitting the Zambezi river. The water is actually falling into this crack ... and it is not the first one ... I think this is the third in the last 500 million years and they all visible.
In the afternoon, I watched a Nigerian movie with some Zambians at the market and talked about Mexican telenovelas which are a thing here. I also met Kedrick, an accomplished entrepreneur with a tour company with 4 vehicles already.
Dinner was at the famous Cafe Zambezi. A nice band playing and people from all over the world in this nice open air very cool place.
Zambian people in these parts are definitely comfortable seeing people from all over the world. They love to talk to people and engage in conversation.
Tomorrow we head to Lusaka, the capital of Zambia.
